2020 was difficult for organizations across the world, but it was profoundly challenging for the Obama Foundation. Much of its work relied on face-to-face engagement in communities, which was paused during the Covid-19 pandemic, and the rise of the Black Lives Matter movement required the Foundation to speak with new levels of guidance, empathy and inspiration.

I worked with the Foundation to create a story for its annual report explaining how it pivoted quickly during the pandemic to continue growing its community impact and how it rose to the moment as a unifying leader.
